Walter Goodwin is founder and CEO of Fractile. Fractile is developing hardware designed to enable the world’s most capable AI models to run faster, more efficiently and at the scale required for longer-horizon AI workloads. He believes the speed of inference at scale is to become the most important factor for AI impact. Walter founded Fractile in 2022 after completing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at the University of Oxford, where his research focused on using early LLMs and other foundation models to build general-purpose embodied intelligence.
