Steve Xie, Ph.D. is the Founder & CEO of Lightwheel, where he is building the continuous learning infrastructure for Physical AI. He holds a B.S. in Physics from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Quant Finance from Columbia University. Before founding Lightwheel, Steve led autonomous-driving simulation at NVIDIA and previously led simulation at Cruise. At Lightwheel, his work focuses on building a closed-loop Real2Sim2Real system that connects real-world data, physics-grounded simulation, scalable evaluation, and deployment feedback, enabling robots and Physical AI systems to continuously learn, improve, and deploy in the real world.
