Sara Filipcic is a serial entrepreneur and Executive Director and Founder of the Institute for Humane Robotics (IHR), defining global standards for psychosocial safety in human-robot interaction. A Women in AI Leader of the Year, she has spoken at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Harvard Radcliffe Institute, and NYU. With a background spanning social work, cross-cultural research, and entrepreneurship, Sara leads IHR’s IEEE P7027 standard on relational safety and trust in human-robot interaction. Based in Tokyo, she operates at the intersection of the Japan–US robotics ecosystem.
