Gideon Mendels is CEO and co-founder of Comet, an AI observability and evaluation platform. A computer scientist and ML researcher by training, he studied language modeling and speech recognition at Columbia before joining Google to work on hate speech and deception detection. He previously co-founded GroupWize, where his team deployed over 50 NLP models across 15 languages at billions-of-messages scale. That firsthand experience with fragmented ML tooling led him to build Comet — a unified platform for tracing, evaluating, and improving AI applications from development through production.
