Des Traynor is Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Fin, sitting on the company's Board of Directors. He has led many teams within Fin — including Product, Marketing, Customer Support, and Content — and today oversees Intercom's R&D team in the Dublin and London offices. Before Fin, Des was a UX consultant, a university lecturer in computer science, and a PhD researcher studying how to improve the quality of computer science education. He also co-founded Exceptional, a SaaS developer tools company acquired by Rackspace, with Eoghan McCabe. Des is an author and speaker on building startups, scaling businesses, and developing product strategy. He also invests in startups including Stripe, Miro, Notion, and Hopin.
