Chantz Strong is the Executive Director, Technology & Analytics and Chief Privacy Officer at the CMPA, Chantz oversees multiple departments, including AI, business intelligence, web & application development, IT infrastructure, IT Security, and Privacy. His current professional interest is in the safe and ethical deployment of AI technologies. He is the lead for AI implementation within his organization and is passionate about finding ways for AI to be deployed in healthcare in a way that benefits patients and providers. Chantz holds an MSc in Systems Engineering from MIT (Boston, USA) and a BSc in Computer Science and Economics from McGill University (Montreal, Canada). He has extensive leadership experience in a variety of organizations, has led modernization efforts on machine learning, data sharing, develop research programs that impact national policy, and pioneered partnerships between public and private sectors. Outside of work, Chantz enjoys volunteering to support sports and community organizations, spending time outdoors, and trying new things.
