SPEAKER’S PROFILE

Arun Maharajan is the Blockchain Lead at the Office of Innovation, UNICEF. He is engaged in various blockchain based initiatives within UNICEF and the larger UN ecosystem including the UNICEF Cryptofund, mentoring Blockchain startups within the UNICEF Innovation Fund Portfolio, managing various UNICEF internal blockchain initiatives and more. Arun holds a Bachelors in Engineering from BITS Pilani (India) and a Masters degree from the Hochschule Esslingen (Germany). He has over 15 years of corporate and start-up experience before joining UNICEF. He has dabbled, learned, unlearned and hustled through a wide array of professional areas including Leadership and technical roles in a Blockchain start-up, a 3D printing Design Studio, Innovation / Management Consulting, Automotive Engineering and Software Engineering. He is a semi-professional bassist and used to be a serial hitchhiker.
