Georg Harer is the Head of Legal and Compliance at Bybit EU and a Co-CEO of Bybit EU GmbH. In this crucial role, he ensures that Bybit’s commitment to compliance is upheld throughout the organization and in every day-to-day process. Georg joined Bybit EU as its first Austrian employee in 2024, supporting the establishment of its headquarters in Vienna. Prior to that, he worked as a banking and finance lawyer in Vienna for over ten years, during which time he was part of several international law firms. Outside of work, Georg is a passionate cook and tech enthusiast. His curiosity and passion for technology led him to discover crypto in 2012, and he has been an active member of the community ever since. Originally from Graz - where he grew up and studied law as well as business administration - he has been living in Vienna since 2010.
